A tense Saturday in Lüneburg, where several criminal incidents put the police on alert! In the early hours of November 12, 2024, two vehicles in the city paddock were badly damaged by a mysterious fire. An attentive witness spotted clouds of smoke rising from a Skoda Rapid and immediately informed the emergency services. Thanks to their lightning-fast reaction, the fire brigade and police were able to prevent a full-scale fire. The property damage? Several thousand euros! But that wasn't all - just a few hours later another vehicle, a BMW Investigations are now underway!
Crime in Uelzen and more!
The afternoon of November 11th was no less turbulent! During a drug operation on Oedemer Weg, a 19-year-old was caught on an e-scooter whose blood showed THC! But that wasn't the end of his problems - it turned out he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was transported directly to the Verden youth detention center. In Uelzen, two men caused a stir: They tried to escape through the checkout in a grocery store with goods worth around 90 euros. When they were caught, they turned out to be violent and slightly injured an employee before fleeing. Now both are being investigated!
And the chaos didn't stop there! In another incident in Uelzen, a 36-year-old tried to evade a police check and collided with parked cars. His drug test came back positive for THC and his alcohol levels were also alarming - 0.35 per mille! But that wasn't the last shock of the day. In Lüchow-Dannenberg, a 62-year-old driver was caught during a check with a breath alcohol level of 0.62 per mille and without a driver's license. Punishments seem to be in sight for him! Lüneburg's streets are certainly not a place of peace!
