In the darkness of the evening of November 12, dramatic flames blazed on an agricultural courtyard in Haren-Landegge-village! At around 9:00 p.m., a 31-year-old resident noticed the fire under a parking space where Big Bags stored with charcoal powder. The unclear cause of the inferno caused panic and alert willing - the fire brigade was called immediately!

With impressive speed, the Haren fire brigade was only a few minutes after the emergency call on site and immediately started the extinguishing work. A dramatic race against time! The focus: the neighboring pig stables, in which around 192 pigs were. Thanks to the courageous use of the rescuers, the animals remained intact! To contain the force of the flames, the firefighters cooled the stables and carried out a targeted smoke dissipation. In order to eliminate further fire nests, the dangerous charcoal powder was scattered in a neighboring field.

The impressive balance: A total of 11 fire engines and around 55 brave firefighters from Haren and Lathen were mobilized! In search of the cause of the fire, the situation remains tense: the fire location was blocked for further examination, while the property damage to cultivation and stables cannot yet be quantified. A dangerous incident that not only disturbed the nightly peace, but also endangered the livelihood of many animals!
