Explosion in the Continental plant: a person injured, many affected!

On Thursday morning, March 6, 2025, there was an explosion in the Work of Continental AG in Hanover, in the Vahrenwald district. The detonation, which was registered around 10:15 a.m., led to a slight injury to a person and affected another six, the measures of the factory doctor had to take advantage of. For safety reasons, the Hanover fire brigade alerted the special alarm plan "Mass attack of injuries" and moved up with two fire trucks and the emergency services.

The explosion on a boiler on the fifth floor of the plant was confirmed when the emergency services arrived. A pressure wave converted the surroundings of the building into a danger zone, numerous windows broke and window frames were torn out. In order to ensure the security of the residents, Philipsbornstrasse was temporarily closed. The injured person was immediately transported to a hospital, while the other affected people were cared for by a doctor.
