Esparreguera, Spanien - The passion games in St. Margarethen have had an eventful week. On the occasion of the Passion Game Mass in Esparreguera, Spain, a delegation from St. Margarethen was able to gain a fascinating insight into the passion tradition there. Klaus Weixelbaum, passion player and prop, was enthusiastic: "This is insane, everything there, so much space, we don't have it." Nevertheless, the weather thwarted the St. Margarethenern, and the passion game fair had to take place in a smaller version in the theater. But the community was also noticeable there. Andreas Schalling, a volunteer actor, reported relieved: "The exchange between the player groups was the most important thing."

Another sad aspect shapes the news from the passion play community. Kurt Kugler, an outstanding member and significant personality of the passion games, died on July 16 after serious illness.
