British government grabs: billions of corruption tycoons frozen!
London, UK - The British government has carried out a huge blow against corruption! Isabel dos Santos, the Angolan billionaire and daughter of the former president, as well as the Ukrainian oligarch Dmytro Firmash, were proven to be sanctions with immediate effect and their assets were frozen in the UK. This is part of a comprehensive plan of the Labor government to combat “dirty money” and to tighten the anti-corruption measures, as was announced on Thursday.
"These unscrupulous individuals deprive their fellow citizens to urgently needed funds for education, health care and infrastructure - only for their own wealth," said Foreign Minister David Lammy. Dos Santos, the first female billionaire of Africa, has been facing allegations of corruption for years, which she abits as part of a political Vendenda. The British authorities accuse her of distorting at least £ 350 million ($ 440 million) by misuse of their positions at the state oil company Sonangol and the telecommunications company Unitel.
Firmash under pressure
Also Dmytro Firmash, one of the most influential oligarchs in Ukraine, is in the sights of the British government. He is suspected of having misappropriated almost $ 500 million in connection with the Ukrainian gastructure system. Firtash, who is currently fending off in Austria against delivery to the United States, describes the allegations as legally unfounded. Great Britain claims that he had "extracted hundreds of millions of pounds from Ukraine" and hid his Illigal fortune in the British real estate market.
