Austria's sustainability price: innovative strength for a better future!

In a glamorous ceremony in Vienna, extraordinary projects and personalities were honored for their tireless efforts for the UN sustainability goals. The Austrian sdg-award had over 300 applications from which 74 outstanding nomines were selected. 15 of them were honored as winners, and for the seventh time. Hans Harrer, the CEO of the Senate of the Economy, made it clear: "The Austrian SDG Award shows that sustainability is not an option, but responsibility." This award has established itself as an important yardstick for innovation and responsibility in Austria, supported by partners such as Great Place to Work and Unicef Austria.

The award in Vienna's center was an impressive example of diversity in sustainable commitment. The winners came from different areas, including youth initiatives, communities and companies. A remarkable aspect was the diverse composition of the jury, which consisted of members of the Allianz for ethics in the economy . This selection ensures that people who are involved in a variety of ways for the SDGs are included in the ratings, regardless of gender or social background.

Ruth Moss from CRIF Austria emphasized how important transparent and objective ratings are: "The Austrian SDG Award shows how measurable and effective sustainable management can be." Christoph Jünger from Unicef Austria emphasized the need for children and adolescents to be given rooms to shape their visions for a sustainable future. The initiative underlines that the implementation of the SDGS is inextricably linked to the promotion of children's rights in order to create a fairer and sustainable world.
