Two migrants caught: Federal police stop illegal entry into Lindau!
Lindau, a migration hotspot
In a dramatic operation on Tuesday, November 5th, the federal police caught two migrants in the act! At the Hörbranz border crossing, where a long-distance bus ran from Turin to Nuremberg, the officials discovered a Tunisian and a Syrian who wanted to travel to Germany without the necessary documents. While the officers were searching the bus, they came across a Tunisian whose Italian residence permit had long since expired. The 54-year-old apparently planned to gain a foothold in Germany due to poor economic conditions.
However, his escape didn't go far - he was charged with attempted unauthorized entry and was expected in court on Wednesday. In order to cover the repatriation costs of 500 euros, his assets were taken into security. That same evening he was taken to the deportation detention center in Hof, from where he will be sent back to Italy.
Control at Lindau-Insel train station: Another migrant caught!
Almost exactly at lunchtime, the federal police thwarted the plans of a 24-year-old Syrian in Lindau Island. He had set out without valid papers to travel to Germany to visit his brothers. His only proof was a refusal of entry issued in Austria. Police investigations showed that he was registered as an asylum seeker in Bulgaria in September. Tragic: He even spent a whopping 7,000 euros on organizing the trip for a mysterious person!
The federal police immediately intervened in this criminal activity and reported the Syrian for unauthorized entry and stay. He was also banned from entering and staying in Germany for two years. He also had to face the judge on Wednesday before he was taken to the Hof deportation detention center for the purpose of being returned to Bulgaria. Further proof of the Federal Police's tireless fight against illegal entry!
