Zeller New Year's Eve reception: honors, fool's celebration and sporty triumph!

As part of a festive New Year's Eve reception in Zell, numerous honors for special achievements were given. Mayor Günter Pfundstein presented medals and documents to over 70 people who have been involved in various areas.

The fool's council of the Fool's Guild Zell was honored for the Zeller, and the fool councils were entered into the Golden Book of the city. A highlight of the year is the upcoming anniversary celebration for the 100th anniversary of the Association of Swabian-Alemannic Fool Guilds (VSAN), which will take place in Bad Saulgau in January 2024. The Zeller guild is a member of the VSAN, the oldest merger of Fasend guilds in Germany. Guild master Clemens Halter announced the return of the Fasend.

honors and sporting success

Special honors were awarded for merits and many years of belonging in clubs. So Julius Erdrich from the Stadtkapelle Zell received the young musician performance badge in gold. Achim Willmann and Reinhard Schwendemann have been active musicians for 50 years, while Maria and Karlheinz Hiß have been active in the Zell vigilante for 50 years. Marianne Lehmann has been singing in the singing club "Frohsinn" for 50 years.

Several successes were celebrated in the sporting area. The SCHACK Club Schwarz-Weiß Zell with HO in Lee and Mia Lehmann, which are successful in western riding. Moritz Möbius from the Sportschützenverein Zell was honored for his participation in the Paralympics in Paris. Athletes such as Nico Thom, Noah Müller, Sina Hehr, Sabine Herm, David Huber and Jette-Sofie Künstle were awarded the archers of the club Zell. Julius Rumpel and Leo Berghof from TV Zell also shone in beach volleyball.

Further appointments were announced at TV Unterharmersbach for the mountain runners Theresa Schätzle, Anne Parisi, Miriam Köhler, Frank Adelmann, Sabine Witschel and Helga Roth. Lukas Ehrle, the two-time youth mountain run world champion, could not participate. The SKC Unterharmersbach celebrated with world champion Fabian Zimmermann and Jonas Bähr, while Alexander John, Celine Wacker and Frédéric Koell were also honored. The 1st men's team of the SKC rose to the 1st Bundesliga in 2024. In addition, the women's team of SG Gengenbach/Zell (ZFV)/Fischerbach was champion of the association league, and the Skat Club Mittnachtbuben Zell won the promotion to the regional league.

In addition, the traditional Epiphany meeting of the Zeller fool guild took place on January 6, 2024 in the cultural and club center "Obere Fabrik" in Zell. The Fool's Council announced that the Zeller fool's guild with around 170 people will take part in the VSAN's big fool's meeting from January 19 to 21 in Weingarten, where all 68 guilds and their friends are expected. Participation in the move in Weingarten is 150 Narros Plus 20 musicians: limited inside.
