On October 4, 2025, the last edition of the popular “living room sessions” will take place in Lienz’s Altstadthotel Eck, organized by Oliver Deutsch. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and offers guests a varied musical line-up. Contributing artists include My Friend Peter, who delights with his experimental psychedelic rock, as well as the jazz pianist and sound artist Jul Dillier. Dillier is known for his improvised piano and accordion performances, creating poetic music without rigid genre definitions. Another artist, Jon Kenzie, combines blues, folk and soul in his performance and is inspired by idols such as Muddy Waters and Bob Dylan.
The culinary offering during the event is impressive and includes delicacies such as tomato and fennel soup, stifado (beef with tomatoes and cumin), seafood kritharaki and other creative dishes such as lentil salad with olives and mint. A sweet finish is rice pudding with cardamom and grapes. The entry price for the event is 40 euros, including buffet, and tickets can be reserved by calling 0664 1211975.
Events and projects by Jul Dillier
Jul Dillier will not only appear at the “living room sessions”. His tour schedule includes a variety of events taking place in the coming month and beyond. For example, he will perform at the Peng! Festival in Essen (DE) on September 27th, 2023 and will appear in Vienna on November 1st, 2025, where he will perform together with Adelita Escapes and Jul Dillier at Smallforms/Chateau Rouge. Dillier is also known for numerous projects and collaborations that combine different genres and concepts.
The jazz scene that shapes Dillier and many other artists is dynamic and multifaceted. This is widely diversified not only in Austria, but also in Germany and Switzerland. Such festivities promote exchange among artists and increase the visibility of those newly interested in the field of improvised music.
After the last “living room session” there will be an after-show party at Becks from 10 p.m., where Ecletic Patrick, PDF aka Phil da Funk and Oliver Deutsch will provide further musical entertainment. This combination promises a successful conclusion to the event, which once again demonstrates the region's musical diversity.
