On November 5th, US voters face a crucial choice: Kamala Harris or Donald Trump? This could have a significant impact not only on the future of the United States, but also on the international context, particularly for Europe and Germany. Ingo Zamperoni will cover the election and the associated fight for the Oval Office with the current documentary “Really Trump Again, America?” illuminate. This 60-minute report, which will be shown on November 4th at 8:15 p.m. on Erste and will be available in the ARD media library from October 29th, analyzes the dramatic twists and turns of the election campaign.
The context of the choice
In this documentary, Zamperoni asks what consequences another Trump victory could have for the USA and the world. He is supported by filmmaker Birgit Wärnke, and together they explore a polarized America. Interesting extras, including prominent figures such as Kid Rock and German footballer Jürgen Klinsmann, are interviewed to capture different perspectives.
On election night from November 5th to 6th, Das Erste will report live on the results of the election and offer comprehensive analysis. Moderator Jörg Schönenborn will provide current information from all states. Experts will also be invited to discuss the possible effects and results. Particular attention is paid to the swing states that are crucial to the outcome of the election and to the headquarters of the candidates nominated by both parties.
Particularly noteworthy is the role of Gudrun Engel, ARD studio manager in Washington, who will provide valuable insights and analysis directly from the American capital. Sandra Maischberger will also do her part in reporting by including discussion groups from Berlin.

From October 28th, the ARD media library will be the central point of contact for all relevant information about the US election.
