Volleyball sensation: Bleicherode celebrates the first win of the season in Weimar!

Weimar. A triumph for the volleyball players from Bleicherode! With an impressive 3-0 victory over SSV Weimar, on the Thuringia League third matchday, they demonstrated their strength and catapulted to eighth place in the table.

Although the team had to compete without their coach André Kretzschmar, who was absent due to illness, the players could not be discouraged. Adriane Grunig, Hanna Thoma, Lilly Leibiger, Lilly Loup, captain Juliana Mehler and her teammates consistently implemented the sophisticated match plan from Kretzschmar from the start. After a bumpy start that required a break at 0: 4, they quickly found their way into play and fought back until 25:21.

gripping final phase and first win of the season

The second round was a real firework! The Bleicheröderinnen developed a lead of 8: 2 with powerful surcharges, which they defended confidently by 25:18. But the third round started bumpy. After a break at 10:14, the deficit seemed persistent, but an impressive five-point series from a strong field defense brought the turn. With the nerve strength, the Kalistädterers finally secured the set with 25:22 and thus their first win of the season.

coach Kretzschmar, who pushed his fingers crossed from afar, expressed himself optimistic: "Today we caught up residues and successfully played to the end. But that doesn't always have to be the case, we make life difficult for ourselves." With new confidence, the volleyball players are now looking at their first home game of the season, where they have to compete against the 1. Sonneberger VC and VfB 91 Suhl II. Kretzschmar is full of anticipation: "I really feel like this two hard chunks! We have to continue working as a team and go over our own performance limit."
