Reading day in Zella-Mehlis: Children design creative bookmarks!

An exciting Friday in Zella-Mehlis! The Schillerschule turned into a true reading palace for the small students in classes one to four. Under the captivating reading of Christin Meisch and Ulrich Pahl, the children immersed in exciting stories that inspired their imagination. The city and district library was the perfect place for this literary adventure that the young listeners captivated.

But that wasn't all! The children also had the opportunity to get creative. They designed bookmarks with a lot of enthusiasm, decorated with mandala letters. This creative activity provided bright faces and lots of fun. Carola Hoffmann and Manuela Adler-Reif, the project manager of the adult education center Schmalkalden-Meiningen, were enthusiastic about the participation and commitment of the children. Moritz Grünkorn, Jan Hoffmann, the library employee Katharina Langner and FSJler Leni Decker also contributed to the happy atmosphere and supported the little artists.

a day full of stories and creativity

The event was a complete success and showed how important reading and creative work are for the development of the children. The cooperation between the adult education center and the library has proven to be valuable in order to not only bring stories closer to the children, but also to promote their creativity. A day that will be remembered - for the children, the stories lovers and the creative minds!
