Hermsdorf, Deutschland - tears of relief in Thuringia! An older couple experienced a nightmare when a harmless excursion into the forest became a dangerous adventure for women. On Sunday, October 20, the two mushrooms wanted to collect - but fate played a prank!

The police reported that the woman lost the sense of orientation during her stay in the forest near Hermsdorf (Saale-Holzland-Kreis). While her husband was waiting in the car, she quickly realized that the search for the outcome led into a hopeless situation. She was neither able to tell him via cell phone, nor did she know where she was. In her need, she heard the noise of the nearby motorway and desperately followed him with the hope of finding a familiar place.

The situation escalated when concerned passers -by informed the motorway police: a woman, about 70 to 80 years old, was spotted with a stick and a basket next to the A9. A strip crew set off in no time. After an almost endless walk, almost two kilometers, the lady in need saw the light of the patrol car. Their relief was overwhelming - the tears shot her eyes when the officers found and calmed them down.

The active support of the police immediately contacted the waiting husband and a meeting point was agreed. When the couple was finally united again, the joy was indescribable - the husband was able to hug his wife safely in his arms, and both were visibly relieved after this exciting day in the forest, which had turned into a nerve -wracking adventure!
