Four abandoned kittens in Thuringia: Animal welfare fights for your life!

Ultimately, they managed to find them, but the hope of seeing again with their little ones smashed. "The cat mom no longer accepted the little kittens," said Schmidt. The reasons for the behavior of the cat mother are diverse. Kevin Schmidt suspects that both the waiting time and the age of the mother could play a role. "Young cats who are overwhelmed with their kittens are not uncommon," he explained. From a scientific point of view, cats can become a mother at ten to twelve months, which corresponds to about a 13- or 14-year-old girl in human standards.
At the moment, animal protection Nordhausen shows an impressive determination. With the new rescue, the total number of bottle kitten, which are dependent on human care, increases to eleven. Despite the challenges, animal welfare remains optimistic: "We do not do it because we have to, but because we want - for the animals that otherwise have no one," the message on Facebook from Tierschutz Nordhausen.
