New district shop in Jena-Süd: A meeting point for all generations!
Jena. A former savings market in Jena-Süd becomes a hotspot for the neighborhood! The key handover took place on Monday and the anticipation is noticeable. Jenawahnen handed over the building to the newly founded Taf-Verein (Treff at Fichteplatz), which wants to create a new social meeting point with an exciting concept. The opening is now imminent!
After a comprehensive renovation in which proud 300,000 euros were invested, the committed members of the TAF association take over the design of the interior. An inviting café, a bookstore and office rooms for the Jena-Süd district council and the district mayor Christina Prothmann are planned. Here is a place that invites you to linger and relax!
a place for encounter and exchange
"We are very pleased that this project is finally taking shape after a long planning," explains Gunnar Poschmann from Jenawohnen. The new district shop will be open to all Jenaers and offers space for encounter, exchange and community activities. The members of the TAF association emphasize that their goal is to create a lively place that strengthens the neighborhood and has offers for all generations. "We are convinced that the district shop will be an enrichment for Jena-Süd," added a club member. A new chapter for the community is opened here!
