Now the municipality has decided to initiate a project for the construction of a new parking space. 53 parking spaces between kindergarten and the Kämpf company are planned at the end of the town towards Arnstadt. The cost of this building is estimated to be 500,000 euros, and various design variants have already been drawn up by a planning office.

In order to involve the population in the decision -making process, the newly elected district council has organized an information evening. The lively participation of the citizens in the fire department illustrated the great interest in the topic. Another point of the discussion was the use of the new parking lot by the primary school. Many participants suggested that a financial participation of the district would make sense in the project. In order to continue to involve the opinions of the citizens, Thomas Menge finally asked for a spontaneous coordination to the project. The result was clear: 28 citizens spoke out for the construction of the parking lot, 19 were against and seven abstained. This voting result is now used as the basis for the further planning and evaluation of the proposals and critical notes of the wooden houses.
