Construction site chaos in the ILM district: These streets are closed!
in the ILM district is currently being worked on many fronts, which leads to a variety of full closures and diversions on the streets. These structural measures are primarily due to the necessary sewer and road construction work that are carried out in several communities.
The city of Geraberg is particularly affected, where the Mühlgraben, Weide, Brauhausgasse and Elgersburger Gasse are completely closed until March 31, 2025. These measures are very annoying for citizens, since important traffic arteries cannot be used.There are also considerable restrictions in Martinroda. The Waldstraße is fully closed from Marienstraße to Schulstrasse until the end of November 2025. In addition, the Waldstraße/Schulstrasse intersection will remain closed until November 1st due to civil engineering work.
Another critical point is Gräfenroda, where Lindenplatz is not accessible until October 31 due to redesign work. This significantly affects local traffic and may cause resentment among the residents.
Plaue is also affected because the main street and Bahnhofstrasse are closed to sewer and road construction by December 20. There are already designated diversions to redirect traffic and avoid traffic jams.
