A special adventure has now taken place in Hildburghausen: Tanja Rommel, a committed WEFA employee, exchanged roles with the pastor Steffen Pospischil for one day! Instead of the originally planned children's service, they decided to climb the church tower and to experience the world of pastoral care up close. A completely new view of the tasks of a pastor that is anything but boring opened up!

What does a pastor actually do all day? Steffen Pospischil answered this question with an exciting insight into his professional life. From the preparation of services to the proclamation of God's Word and the interpretation of Bible texts, it becomes clear that the everyday life of a pastor is as diverse as the people in his community! Rommel experienced how to link current topics and offer the communities of orientation. But that wasn't all! Pastoral care, baptisms, wedding ceremonies and even funerals are also among the duties of a pastor. Julie Rommel was amazed at how many appointments and events have to be organized.

But the challenges are not only limited to religious ceremonies! The administration of a parish also demands a lot of skill. Employee management, the organization of volunteer work and budget management are on the agenda. For Rommel, it was a real revelation to learn how significantly the diplomatic handling of people in crisis situations is and that engagement beyond the actual services goes beyond. At the end of her role exchange, she not only had respect for the work of a pastor, but also a new understanding of the abundance of tasks that this role brings!
