Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld, 07749 Jena, Deutschland - The ice world Jena opens its gates and transforms the Ernst Abbe sports field into a winter wonderland! From November 28, 2024 to January 5, 2025, visitors can do their rounds on an impressive, covered ice rink with 510 square meters. Directly at the P1 parking lot, just a stone's throw from the “Sportforum” tram stop, guests can expect an unforgettable experience in the university city of Jena.

Here is something for everyone! Whether small figure skaters who take their first steps on the ice or passionate ice hockey player - the ice world Jena promises fun and movement for the whole family. Winter delicacies and hot drinks offer festively decorated stands that make the cold season even more comfortable. And best of all: Every Friday the ice rink becomes a disco night! Ice skating, mulled wine and hot beats ensure an unforgettable atmosphere.

opening times and special events

The ice world is open every day, with special times on the weekend. The exact opening times are:

• Monday to Friday: 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
• Sunday & public holidays: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The ice rink remains on holidays 24./25. December 2024 and closed on January 1, 2025. On site, ice skates can be loaned for a fee and their own ice skates can be sanded. Let yourself be enchanted by the magical atmosphere of the ice world Jena and enjoy unforgettable moments with family and friends!
