Variety of art in Herner Town Hall: 48 works delight visitors!
Things are getting colorful and creative in the Herner Town Hall! On Thursday, November 7th, 2024, at 5 p.m., Mayor Kai Gera will open the eagerly awaited annual exhibition of the Herner Künstlerbund. In the 16th edition, 22 talented members present a total of 48 fresh works created in the last twelve months. A highlight of the opening is the introduction by the art historian Dr. Falko Herlemann, who immerses visitors in the fascinating world of art.
Variety of works of art
The exhibition showcases an impressive range of art styles and techniques. Meltem Orac, the new member, impresses with four works, including the delicate picture “Rose valley”. On the ground floor there are also paper collages by Anna Pocher and a surrealist acrylic drawing by Helmut Kottkamp. The works of Jörg Lippmeier and Rukiye Turan also stand out - the expressive mixed media “Black Rider” and a dreamlike cloud painting by Heidrun Mottyll attract attention.
The diversity continues on the upper floor: Reiner Glebsattel presents his relief-like material paintings, while Eva Stotz presents landscapes and Bathiyar Demircan presents small-scale acrylic paintings. Photographic positions by Hagen Apel and Günter Mottyll, who shows a documentary series about the Horsthauser hairdressing salon Steinbach, round off the impressive overall picture. This exhibition is a must for art lovers and offers a fascinating insight into the region's creative scene.
