Police Saxony takes stock: hundreds of controls against drugs and car rabbit!
The Saxon police carried out a large -scale control campaign on Wednesday that extended across the entire state. This measure, which took place from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., was the focus on traffic safety, drug abuse and the fight against international car rings. The police were supported by the federal police officers and customs. The checks were carried out on both festivals and mobile points, for example at the Auerswalder Rest area on Autobahn 4.
The numbers from this campaign speak for themselves: a total of 635 people and 531 vehicles were checked. The police documented 208 violations. In addition to the administrative offenses, three cases of drivers without a valid driver's license were also uncovered. Two violations of the Narcotics Act have been registered, as well as a violation of tax law. An important aspect of control was the enforcement of seven arrest warrants in the cities of Chemnitz, Mittelachsen and in the Erzgebirge district. Three people could not pay their fines, so that they had to compete with compensation.
arrests and special finds
A remarkable incident occurred during the controls in the Chemnitz-Nordost police station. There the officers discovered a motorcycle that had only been reported as stolen the same morning. After a thorough securing of evidence, the vehicle could be returned to its rightful owner. Such quick successes show how effective the cooperation between the various police authorities in Saxony is.
The increased controls are part of a long -term strategy to combat drug abuse in road traffic and other civil law violations. Saxony's police therefore regularly use such measures to effectively curb criminal activities. The current campaign reflects the commitment of the security forces that are at the forefront of combating drugs and vehicle thefts, and shows that every violation is taken seriously.
Publicly rated such a lawful enforcement of traffic laws, since it not only increases security, but also strengthens trust in the police. Citizens expect the police to be active in drugs and vehicle theft. These controls are therefore not only a reactive, but also a proactive measure to ensure security in public space.
