Alyssa McIntyre: DAAD Prize for International Commitment in Erfurt!
Erfurt, Deutschland - A radiant moment for Alyssa Marie Mcintyre! The talented graduate of the Willy Brandt School of Public Policy was today awarded the prestigious DAAD price. This prize, which is awarded annually by the German Academic Exchange Service, recognizes international students for their extraordinary commitment. Prof. Dr. Beate Hampe, Vice President of International at the University of Erfurt, presented the 29-year-old to the awarded with 1000 euros as part of the International Day.
Alyssa, which comes from Australia and has been studying in the Master of Public Policy since 2022, was honored for their outstanding academic achievements and their remarkable social commitment. It was not only a driving force in the Bulletin blog and podcast teams of the Brandt School, but also an active member of the integration program "become friends". Here she helped new students to find their way around Erfurt and was available to help and advise them. Her commitment to diversity and inclusion is particularly noteworthy - in 2023 she supported the Special Olympics in Berlin and was active on a voluntary basis at "Inclusion Europe", where she led a group that dealt with the effects of digitization on people with intellectual disabilities.
