Special events in October
On October 10th, World Dog Day will be celebrated. On this day, dog owners have the unique chance of taking their four -legged friends on the treetop path in the Hainich National Park. This is a special event, because on all other days our four -legged friends are not allowed there, except for assistance dogs. Admission costs two euros for each dog, with the regular admission prices apply. It is an opportunity to celebrate the special relationship between man and dog.
In addition, the World Hospice Day on October 12 opens the opportunity to reflect on the support of seriously ill and dying people. In order to draw attention to this important topic, the ecumenical hospice group Eisenach organizes a moving cinema evening in the Capitol Eisenach, where the film "This stupid heart" is shown. The performance begins on October 15th at 5:30 p.m. and, after the film, offers space for exchange and information about the supportive offers of the group.
public meetings and residents' inquiries
The citizens of Eisenach also have the opportunity to bring their concerns to the next public meeting of the city council on November 6th. Questions and suggestions must be submitted to the city council office until October 22nd and 29th. This promotes participation and transparency within urban politics. A maximum of two inquiries per inhabitant may be specified, with each request to include up to five details.
In the meantime, the district councilors from Wartha-Göringen, Neukirchen and Stregda, each have important topics and construction projects on their agenda. These meetings offer the residents the opportunity to actively participate in the design of their neighborhood and to express concerns they affect.
for nature enthusiasts, October is also the month in which the Hainich National Park turns into a colorful sea of leaves. This natural spectacle, also called Indian Summer, attracts numerous visitors. In addition to the impressions on the treetop path, guided hikes are offered, including one on October 12 and another on October 13, which leads through the colorful landscape. Registrations are required to enjoy the full experience.
The Berlin band Mutabor also enjoys great popularity on October 12th when it appears in the Bad Salzungen press work. Their mixture of different music styles promises an unforgettable concert that will entertain the guests with irony and wit. The event starts at 8:30 p.m. and once again shows how alive the cultural life in the region is.
