The extension to the existing fire brigade house, which will support the volunteer fire brigade of the western districts, takes shape. The construction work that started on April 24 has almost been completed, and the construction company Bega-Bau from Meiningen did an excellent job. "A topping -out ceremony is a nice custom that shows the joy of the work done," emphasized Mayor Dr. Christian Hell and paid tribute to the craftsmen and planners who created this place of cooperation.

In the course of the village renewal, the new multifunctional building in Neuenhof will be accessible to all citizens of the funding region. The fire brigades Göringen, Hörschel and Neuenhof will in future be united at a modern location. A comprehensive adaptation of the existing fire engine hall is made to meet today's requirements. The functional construction will cover, showers and storage rooms. On the upper floor of the MFG there are also rooms for clubs and a parish hall for around 80 people.

The construction work is progressing: old buildings have been demolished and new structures are being built. Work on the open spaces begin from mid -November, while windows and exterior doors are installed. The inauguration is planned for the summer of 2025. "A great day for all citizens from Neuenhof, Hörschel, Wartha and Göringen," said Christoph Ihling and emphasized the importance of this future -oriented investment. The Free State of Thuringia supports the project with generous grants: around 871,830 euros are to be applied for the cultivation of the fire brigade, almost 75 percent of the state funds. For the multifunctional building, the total costs amount to 1.46 million euros, with a similar funding rate. The city of Eisenach bears a share of 494,493 euros for the fire brigade and 388,189 euros for the Mfg.
