In "The Physicists", three scientists meet in a psychiatric institution: one outstanding as Albert Einstein, the other as Sir Isaac Newton. The third, Johann Wilhelm Möbius, left his family and isolated himself as a "error" because he discovered a dangerous "world formula". This discovery could erase humanity - a secret that nobody can experience!

But the Situation escalates! The other two gentlemen are not patients, but mysterious agents of rival nations who want to steal Möbius' knowledge. Suddenly a crime inspector appears to examine mysterious deaths while the clinic chief Dr. Toothd can only offer vague explanations. Dürrenmatt exposes the abysses of human knowledge of the knowledge and the greed for power while he raises the question: Are we game balls uncontrollable developments?
