Military maneuvers in Thuringia: Chaos on the streets from November!
Bad Salzungen, Deutschland - alarm level red in Thuringia! From November 12, the region will be shaken by a huge military contingent that transforms the streets and forests into a true war zone. Over 700 soldiers and almost 400 military vehicles will roll through the cities and villages, while residents and drivers have to adapt to a real challenge. The authorities urge to warn: "increased attention" is the order of the day!
The federal highways are transformed into military routes! The B19 from Eisenach to Barchfeld and the B62 from Barchfeld to Vacha are particularly affected. Here the hum of the armored vehicles and the flickering of the headlights in the dark becomes a new normality. The first maneuvers last until November 22nd, followed by an even greater commitment that will keep the region in suspense from November 21 to 28. During this time, 500 soldiers march with around 350 vehicles through Bad Salzungen, Merkers and Vacha - a sight that will ensure conversation in Thuringia!
military exercises: Attention, drivers!
Nature and forests become the scene of military activities. Hikers and walkers should be particularly careful, because the soldiers are on the road with heavy equipment. In the first few weeks, the areas around Bad Salzungen, Breitungen and Barchfeld-Himmelborn are particularly affected. The Bundeswehr uses these maneuvers to train their operational readiness, while the civilian population has to adapt to unforeseen traffic disruptions.
The extraordinary exercises are not only a logistical challenge, but also a rare sight for the Thuringians. The Bundeswehr shows itself in full strength and brings the military directly to the residential areas. Drivers and residents should prepare for a turbulent time while the soldiers carry out their mission in the region. The streets now belong to the tanks - and the residents have to adapt!
