100 years of Haus Hainstein: Festival service with Bishop in Eisenach!
A century of grove: a festival for the senses!
The venerable Haus Hainstein in Eisenach celebrates a glamorous 100th anniversary! Once the educational and conference center of the Evangelical Church, this place has turned into a pulsating hotel and restaurant that still plays an important role as a conference center. The celebrations begin on Sunday, October 27, at 10 a.m. with a festive service in the Georgenkirche, led by State Bishop Friedrich Kramer.

The opening of the festival week promises exciting insights with a lecture by Friedrich Hauschildt on the role of the Scandinavian Lutheran in Germany. The Swedish bishop Nathan Söderblom played a key role that the house came into the hands of the church. The following day, October 28, further top -class lectures will amaze guests. Academy director Sebastian Kranich will talk about Sweden's reliable friendship and Protestant ecumenism at the beginning of the 1920s. In addition, the managing director of the hotel and restaurant association, Dirk Ellinger, will highlight the relevance of the Haus Hainstein house today.
A special highlight awaits those present on October 29: An evening of the former combines former students of the Hainstein who enjoyed their training here. In addition, the renowned Swedish choir "Allhelgona Motetkör" from Lund will be a guest and will design the cantata service as part of the Eisenach Bachfest on October 31, and give a concert in the Georgenkirche. The lectures on October 30 round off the festival program, including with topics on the history of church training in the Hainstein from 1947 to 1997.
The festival week is supplemented by devotion in the in -house chapel and tours on the site, in the Wartburg and in the city. The anniversary of the Hainstein house is an important event that unites history, culture and community in an impressive way.
