On December 29, 2024 at 5 p.m., the castle organist Daniel Beilschmidt invites you to a festive organ concert, which includes works by great composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach and Franz Liszt. In an impressive program, among other things, the dramatic “Évocation à la Chapelle Sixtine” by Liszt and Cancer 'light piece “How beautiful the morning star shines”. The crowning glory is Bach's powerful Toccata and Fugue in D minor, which is a must for every music lover. But that's not all! As part of this year's Thuringian organ academy, several concerts will take place in the castle church on September 1 and 2. Professor Martin Sturm will play the first volume of Bach's "Well -tempered clavier" on September 1st in a unique conversation concert and will give fascinating insights into his composition. The second concert on September 2 is a grandiose organ gala, in which the best international participants in the academy show what you have learned. Daniel Beilschmidt, who also heads the academy, presents the top-class talents on the historical consolation organ, with works that were developed during the academy deepening, such as Altenburg.tv reported.
