A historical moment for the board game community in Thuringia! The "German Bretting Culture" has now been officially included in the Thuringian state list as an intangible cultural heritage - a great success that is celebrated by UNESCO! Gabriele Oryymek from the Altenburg game days cheered: "This is a political milestone!". This recognition is not only a reason for joy, but also an incentive for the future: "We are waiting for nationwide recognition in 2025!"
But that's not all that happens in Altenburg! On Friday, November 29, the committed teacher Ute May from Nobitz was awarded the Gutsmuths Prize. The prize, named after the famous educator Johann Christoph Friedrich Gutsmuths, honors outstanding achievements in the field of education. Minister Helmut Holter presented the honor in the Erfurt Augustinian monastery and emphasized the importance of such awards for the motivation of the teachers.
