Safe paths in Mühldorf: Kapellenstraße again after construction work!
Kapellenstraße, 84453 Mühldorf am Inn, Deutschland - After two months of intensive construction work, Kapellenstraße in Mühldorf am Inn is finally released for traffic again! The railway underpass, which was previously closed to all vehicles, now shines in new splendor and offers pedestrians more security thanks to a wider sidewalk. Mayor Michael Hetzl and his team did a great job here!
The construction work, which was realized with an investment of around 200,000 euros, not only renewed the road, but also improved surface drainage and optimized the lighting. Particularly gratifying: Children up to ten years can now use the sidewalk by bike, which was previously not possible due to the narrow width of only one meter. "With a manageable measure we were finally able to defuse one of the most dangerous connecting roads in Mühldorf for pedestrians and cyclists," emphasizes Hetzl pride.
important improvements for traffic safety
The new regulations bring a narrowing of the road, which makes the right of way more clearly. These measures are not only a big step for the safety of pedestrians, but also a temporary solution to the planned new construction underpass, which is only promised by Deutsche Bahn AG after 2033. The city of Mühldorf hereby shows that it takes the needs of its citizens seriously and is actively working on improving the transport infrastructure.
