140 years of Fock: Company heirs fight for employees in Kaltenkirchen!

Kaltenkirchen. A heart-heating anniversary for the construction industry! The renowned deep and road construction company Rudolf Fock celebrates 140 years on November 1- an impressive era that is characterized by hard work and family commitment. Klaus Fock, the 67-year-old company boss, shines with pride. "We have been in family hands and well in the business since then," says Fock, whose employer has designed countless streets and new development areas in the region over the decades.

The beginnings go back to 1884 when Steinhauer Hans Heinrich Fock founded his "stone shot and paving". The company has changed a lot with 100 hardworking hands. "Everything used to be handicrafts. We fought with shovels and hammers!" Fock recalls. But now, with only 25 employees, mechanization has replaced muscle strength. "We just no longer find employees," complains authorized representative Michael Milkau. The construction industry is experiencing a merciless struggle for specialists.

However, the future looks promising! Henning Fock, Klaus's 32-year-old son, will soon take over the helm. While the company does without a big celebration to celebrate with the employees on a small scale, there is a generous gesture: On the occasion of the anniversary, the Fock family donates 2500 euros to eight local organizations, including the Lebenshilfe Kaltenkirchen and the DRK Kreis Segeberg. The family is committed, especially due to a personal connection to disabled facilities.

"We are a strong medium-sized company," says Milkau. Despite the challenges due to the lack of new, motivated workers, the optimism of the Fock family remains unbroken! The history of the company continues, and Kaltenkirchen can be proud of 140 years of building history!
