Santiano shows heart: emotional message at Giovanni Zarrella!
Göttingen, Deutschland - In the emotional atmosphere of the "Giovanni Zarrella Show", a moving sign was set! Santiano's shanty rockers, known for their rousing melodies, performed and touched the hearts of the spectators with their new hit "none is lost". But behind the happy appearance there is a tragic story: guitarist Andreas Fahnert fights against the incurable disease Parkinson's.
The band, which has been storming the charts with every album since its foundation in 2011, has lived through difficult times in the past. "We didn't want to go out with it for a long time," Björn Both, the front man of Santiano, confessed on the show. The diagnosis of Parkinson's, which Andreas Fahnert received a few years ago, was a hard blow for the band. But despite the challenges, the cohesion remains unbroken. "It is about this cohesion, for which Santiano has been standing for twelve years," emphasized Both and made it clear that the band will never let her friend down.
a sign of solidarity
The band members had already spoken about Andreas' disease in 2023 in the TV documentary “Nobody is lost”. This openness is not only a sign of solidarity, but also a message to everyone who runs similar fights. Andreas Fahnert is no longer active on stage, but is firmly at the side of his bandmates in the studio. "Thanks to 'no one is lost', he is in my thoughts at every concert," said Both. The emotional connection and the unshakable team spirit of Santiano are a strong example of how music and friendship can stop in difficult times.
