alarm level red in the Pinneberg district! From November 18 to 29, 2024, the police conduct massive traffic controls around schools as part of the control weeks "Respect in view". The first results are alarming: 271 administrative offenses have already been found by Thursday! The police have the traffic situation at schools in Halstenbek, Pinneberg, Quickborn, Rellingen, Schenefeld and Tangstedt.

The numbers speak volumes: 144 speed overruns and 72 parking violations in the area of ​​the schools were registered. Particularly brazen: 29 violations directly at schools, where parents even parked before the fire brigade! Smaller violations such as mobile phone use at the wheel and expired main inspections were also punished. The police make it clear: consideration is required here!

The control weeks should mainly draw attention to the weakest road users - the students! They are particularly at risk in the dark season. The police urged all drivers to drive particularly carefully and considerately in the area of ​​schools. The controls will continue until November 29, 2024, and the police will not let up until the safety of the children is guaranteed.

After completing the check -up weeks, the Bad Segeberg police department will take a comprehensive balance and publish the results. The message is clear: security proceeds and every road user is required to contribute to it!
