in Bönningstedt there was a shocking incident when a 36-year-old driver had a 16-year-old cyclist. Instead of taking care of the injured adolescent, the driver picked him up and even threatened him with blows! The incident, which occurred in July 2023, ended for the driver on Wednesday, November 13th, before the Pinneberg district court with a fine of over 1000 euros. A real memo for such ruthless behavior!

The cyclist, who fortunately did not fall, reported as a witness that he could "just catch himself". But the Mercedes driver did not give up: with hard swear words, he asked the young people to "piss". The shock was great, so that the cyclist drove to work, but the last few meters pushed his bike because a pedals were damaged. There it turned out that he had suffered a hip bruise that tortured him for two weeks.

Video proves the crime

A surveillance camera recorded the incident and showed the moment of the collision and the reaction of the driver. The video was played several times during the negotiation. The defendant's defender tried to invalidate the allegations by claiming that there was no accident. But the public prosecutor's office disagreed and called for a penalty of 60 daily rates of 10 euros each. The judge exceeded this claim and imposed 70 daily rates of 15 euros each, which corresponds to a total penalty of 1050 euros

The judge considered the statements of the witnesses to be credible and found that the driver had no reason to inspect his vehicle so precisely if he was sure that there was no touch. A positive aspect for the accused: after the appeal period, he may get his driver's license back, which he had lost due to the accident 13 months ago. But the judge's warning was clear: in another incident, he should behave better and not mob it!
