Lilith Hinrichsen: North Frisia's swimming star breaks records in Wuppertal!

The 17-year-old Lilith Hinrichsen caused a sensation at the German Short Railway Championships in Wuppertal! With an impressive performance over five routes, she not only qualified for the championships, but also broken records. From Thursday to Sunday she competed in her “house and courtyard routes”- 50 and 100m butterfly as well as freestyle and 50m back. And the result? Simply sensational!

It "rained" records! Over 100m freestyle swam Lilith with a circle record of 58.32 seconds to 43th place. "Not bad as the start," she commented soberly. But that was just the beginning! Over 50m butterfly, she missed the B final of the best 16 swimmers with only 3/100 best time and 23th place. But that didn't stop them: over 50m freestyle she swam a solid best time with 26.32 seconds and again a circle record, even if she only missed the B final.

story written!

The real climax came over 50m back! Just 15 minutes after her coup, Hinrichsen qualified with a circle record of 29.10 seconds as the first woman from North Friesland for the A-final of the best 8 swimmers. Due to simultaneity, even 9 swimmers were eligible to start in the final. Despite the close schedule, she increased in both finals and reached her best placement over 50m back with 8th place - and that with an almost incredible circular cord of 28.92 seconds!

"This was planned as the highlight of the short -time season and worked well. I am pleased to be able to represent the TSV and our sponsors here," said Hinrichsen on the sidelines of the competition. An appearance that will go into the history books!
