Lübeck children light Christmas tree: a gift from the forest!
Paul-Burwick-Schule, Lübeck, Deutschland - Lübeck-St. Lorenz Süd: A radiant festival for the children of the Paul Burwick School! On Friday, November 29, 2024, an impressive seven meter high Christmas tree shone in front of the school when the young and old students lit the lights. This magnificent tree, a Nordmann fir, came directly out of the forest as a gift and creates a festive atmosphere in the Advent season.
The tree was brought to school by forester Christian Holm from the Forst Bliestorf. "For over 50 years, many people have traditionally been getting their Christmas tree out of the forest with us in Bliestorf. Now we wanted to make all the big and small people of the great Paul Burwick school happy with one of our most beautiful trees," said Holm. The children and teachers adorned the tree together with red balls and self -made paper stars, which increases the anticipation for Christmas.
a sign of appreciation
The joy of the festively decorated tree will accompany the students during the entire Advent season. Johanne Hannemann, Managing Director of Diakonie Nord Nord Ost, emphasized: "In this time, he is also a visible sign of appreciation for the children and young people as well as for the use of employees on site. We are all very grateful that the Forst Bliestorf has thought of the school."
