Smoke development in the nursing home: Fire brigade saves residents in Kiel

In the early afternoon of October 31, a worrying incident occurred in the Suchsdorf district of Kiel. At 4:30 p.m., the integrated regional control center received several emergency calls that pointed out smoke development in a old and nursing home in Sukoring. The alarmed fire brigade was immediately asked because it was initially unclear whether people could be in danger in the apartment.

The Kiel fire brigade promptly reacted to the alarm reports received and started an increased use of strength. It was of great importance to find out as quickly as possible whether people were still in the critical situation. On the arrival on site, the first firefighters saw Rauch to get out of a residential unit on the fifth floor.

A total of impressive 38 emergency services from the main and north guard in Kiel, supported by the Suchsdorf volunteer fire brigade and the emergency services. The coordinated cooperation and the rapid action of the emergency services were crucial to efficiently master the incident. The operation was successfully completed at 5:30 p.m.
