Kiel. An exciting spectacle can be observed in the Sophienhof! Meter-high posters radiate the anticipation for the opening of the brand new fitness and wellness center Sports Club. But the tension is only associated with a small hook: the originally planned start in October cannot be met due to unforeseen challenges! Managing Director Alexander Sosa announces the opening for November 11th after massive conversions were necessary.

On the construction site, the craftsmen dance in the bar of all beats while they work tirelessly on the last subtleties. The fitness equipment is already there, but the construction workers dig through the new 1000 square meter wellness oasis. A "stalactite cavity" situation caused a surprise: leaking between water made water occur, which made a complete redesign essential! The costs? Instead of the intended three million euros, the price exploded to six million euros! This shows how much is at stake, but the landlords are ready to share the additional costs.

New wellness dream in the Sophienhof

Reviews about the great new facility already have potential! Sports Club promises not only to continue the inheritance of the former Meridian Spa, but even to surpass. The division of the wellness areas is largely maintained, but the fitness landscape gets a modern twist: new walls, panoramic views of the horns and a separate freiap area ensure a fresh air. Former members are already enthusiastic about the opening.

But the opening will be gradual! A whole wellness paradise is gradually put into operation. The outer sauna will also be available for the first visitors, while comprehensive renovation work on the six additional saunas and relaxation rooms are still in full swing. The tension in the Sophienhof remains tangible until the big opening on November 11th - and hopefully the wait was worth it!
