Construction site chaos in Kiel: where the streets are tight today!

On January 8, 2025, current reports will inform about a variety of construction sites and road closures in Kiel. These measures lead to restrictions in the flow of traffic and affect both cars and pedestrians and cyclists.

The Knappschaftszeitung 2025 is fully blocked (house numbers 44 to 78) due to conversion and removal work. In addition, the Heidenberger pond and the Drammenweg are expected to be closed until January 31, 2025, while a pressure pipeline is laid there.

Current construction sites and closures

Other construction sites include the following list:

• Scharweg: Restrictions due to support wall renewal until January 31, 2025 (house numbers 26 to 52) and full closure due to fastening work (house numbers 10 to 59).

• am vines: full closure from February 3 to 12, 2025 for work at the level crossing.

• Albert-Schweitzer-Weg: Working by the end of April 2025 to redesign a 1.4 hectare green area.
• Alte Levensauer Hochbrücke: full closure for motor vehicles until mid -June 2025, detour via a neighboring bridge.
• Preetzer Straße: one -sided closure by June 30, 2025 (house numbers 4 to 6) due to the construction of a day clinic.
• Hassseer Straße: Refurbishment by the end of November 2025 with comprehensive work on sewer and road surface.
• Werftstraße: restrictions by 2026 because of the construction of a premium bike route, changes in traffic and bus stops.

In addition, there are planned construction sites for 2025, including the full closure of the Scandinavianamm from March to July and the full renovation of the Westring from July. An exchange of bus stops will also be carried out at Kiel Central Station from April to June 2025.

Another important construction site project concerns the old Lübeck Chaussee, as kiel.de . The passage height under the bridges is 3.60 meters, which is signaled by traffic signs and height controls.
