Smoke -free to success: Now register for 'Be smart - Don’t Start'!

Herzogtum Lauenburg, Deutschland - Duchy of Lauenburg we experience an exciting time! Until November 9th, school classes in the Duchy of Lauenburg can take part in the top -class non -smoking competition 'Be Smart - Don’t Start'. For the 28th time, the young talents have the chance to refuse to smoke! If you face the challenge of foregoing cigarettes, e-cigarettes, shishas and nicotine in any form, you take a decisive step into a healthier future.

The numbers speak for themselves: In the last school year, 6,873 school classes went into the competition nationwide-including 433 from Schleswig-Holstein. AOK service manager Reinhard Wunsch emphasizes the importance of non-smoking for children and adolescents: "Our competition wants to encourage students not to start smoking at all." Starting will officially start on November 11, 2024 and end on April 25, 2025. The most successful classes can win a whopping 5,000 euros for the class fund!

strict rules and great rewards

How does the whole thing work? Quite simply: at least 90 percent of the students in a class have to undertake not to smoke for six months. If this quota is undercut, the class was immediately eliminated from the competition. Last year, 82.4 percent of the participating classes in Schleswig-Holstein successfully cut off. With special class actions on the advantages of non -smoking, there are not only health but also valuable prices - and that makes the challenge even more exciting!

The competition is not only supported by the AOK, but also by the Federal Center for Health Education (BZGA) and German Cancer Aid. As patron, the prominent Dr. Eckart von Hirschhausen.
