Desired tree campaign: help children in need in Wedel!
in the Steinberghalle in Wedel blooms the Christmas joy! The SC Rist Wedel is once again putting a radiant sign of charity with the popular desired tree campaign, which has been putting a smile on the face in need for six years now. This initiative, supported by the association "The North helps", fulfills the heart's wishes of needy children from the region, whose families cannot afford gifts. The wishes that hang on the desired tree in the form of colorful paper rolls are waiting to be "picked" and fulfilled by generous people.
The desired tree is plump filled with coveted gifts such as books, games, dolls, cuddly toys and craft accessories, which usually have a value of around 20 euros. The campaign has developed into a real joint project over the years: Together with the Rist basketball players, the club's cheerleaders have already fulfilled several hundred wishes and show how much fun it is to help others. The tree is in the Steinberghalle until the beginning of December and can be visited at every home game of the 1st women and 1st men as well as at WNBL games.
that's how it works!
If you can't get to the games, you have the opportunity to stop by Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the SC Rist office and to pick up a wish. The lovingly packed gifts must be handed over to the SC Rist by December 6th, be it at home games or in the office. Let us make sure that no child in the region stays under the Christmas tree without a gift!
