Raser and Poser in Dillenburg: Police beats back!

Bahnhofstraße 30, 35708 Haiger, Deutschland - Dillenburg and Haiger are the focus of traffic safety after the local authorities carried out increased control of so -called “posers” and “rapid”. On Saturday evening, between 7:00 p.m. and 00:00 a.m., the officials of the regional transport service, supported by the Haiger, civilian emergency vehicles, started to carry out speed controls on well-known razor routes.

A total of 37 vehicles were stopped during the check. On Kasseler Straße in Dillenburg, seven drivers significantly exceeded the permissible top speed. A driver who was caught in a 50 km/h zone at 89 km/h was particularly striking. He now await him 260 euros fine and two points in Flensburg and a one -month driving ban. Another racer shot at 140 km/h through a 70 km/h zone, whereby the exact evaluation of his violation is still pending.

Details on the speed violations

In addition, there were problems with the authorization of some vehicles, since the operating license has gone out due to faulty wheel tire combinations for four cars. Their owners now have to assemble new tires or rims as soon as possible, while they should be prepared for a fine of 105 euros. The drivers of these vehicles have to expect 70 euros. Three Posers were also caught with a questionable maneuver when they went full throttle on a short distance and then abruptly let go of the accelerator pedal, which led to loud noises. These have to expect a fine of 80 euros.

Another incident that attracted the attention of the police was an escape in Haiger. Here, a black BMW was damaged at the rear when a fleeting driver probably bumped into the parked vehicle while parking or peeling out with his car. The damage amounts to around 1,500 euros. The police asks for information about the unknown driver or his vehicle and has caused the Dillenburg police station for appropriate information.

These actions underline the efforts of the authorities to increase traffic safety in the Dillenburg and Haiger region, especially to defend themselves against frenzied and ruthless driving. It remains to be seen how these measures will affect the driving behavior of regional drivers in the long term.
