A royal visit with history! The Danish royal couple Frederik X. and Mary looked in Schleswig-Holstein today. This first visit as a royal couple in Germany is a very special event - certainly also for the many people who look forward to the Royal region!

At lunchtime, the royal greatness met with important representatives of the Danish minority in Flensburg. King Frederik X. and Queen Mary received gifts and greetings with a warm smile. A total of ten institutions of the Danish minority were represented, including the Danish Church and the Südschleswig Association (SSW). Only three minutes were planned for each meeting - time pressure is obviously program here!

The visit to the historic Danewerk was shorter than planned because the time was pushed. The impressive UNESCO World Heritage site, a monumental defense system, symbolically stands for the connections between Denmark and Germany.
