Habeck starts through: Greens rely on reforms in the constituency of Flensburg-Schleswig
Harrislee, Deutschland - Federal Minister of Economics Robert Habeck is back in the race! At a constituency assembly in Harrislee, near Flensburg, the 55-year-old was elected as a direct candidate for the Bundestag election in February with 128 votes. Unique situation: there was no opponent! With this strong support, Habeck wants to confront the voters with clear truths and banish populism from political discourse.
"We got out of the starting blocks well," said Habeck with confidence. He emphasized the need to tackle the pressing conflicts in Germany instead of just observing them. The minister sees an enormous backlog of reform that results from the time of the grand coalition and demands an accelerated expansion of renewable energies. "We have to make the electricity cheaper," said Habeck, who is convinced that this can contribute to solving many social problems.
