Danish royal couple Frederik and Mary for the first time in Schleswig-Holstein!

Kiel, Deutschland - The Danish royal couple Frederik X. and Mary is visiting Schleswig-Holstein for the first time today. Their program includes appointments in Kiel, Schleswig and Flensburg, accompanied by Denmark's Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. In Kiel you will be welcomed by Prime Minister Daniel Günther before the couple opened an energy conference in the Geomar Helmholtz Center and undertakes a shipping with an electric ferry on the Kiel Fjord.

A special lunch is on the menu: beef back from the Holsteiner color, served with noble wines and a delicious dessert. The visit should not only be a polite visit; Günther emphasizes the importance of the Danish minority and the close connection between Denmark and Germany. In the afternoon, Frederik and Mary will also visit the former border wall Danewerk and meet the Danish minority in Flensburg before traveling back to Denmark in the evening.
