A gripping duel in the Regionalliga Northeast! The FSV Zwickau drove an exciting 2-1 win against the guests from Meuselwitz on Friday evening and thus catapulted itself to the 5th place in the table. But the start was anything but promising: Zwickau had to accept a setback in the 5th minute when Florian Hansch promoted the ball to the far corner after a loss of the bick into his own penalty area. The spectators were shocked, but the team around coach Mike Könnecke could not be discouraged.
The Zwickauer showed fighting spirit and urged the equalization. In the 23rd minute it was finally time: Jahn Herrmann scored the deserved equalizer. But the tension remained high, because the Thuringians pushed on and had several chances, but which failed due to strong keeper Lucas Hiemann. With his impressive parades, he kept Zwickau in the game, so it was 1-1 at half time. The fans breathed up, but the second half promised more thrills.

After the change of sides, the guests pushed again on the lead goal, but Hiemann could not be overcome. Zwickau had difficulty finding into the game and the whistles of the audience became louder. But then the turn came: coach Rico Schmitt brought fresh strength and that paid off! In the 77th minute, substitute Veron Dobruna scored the decisive 2-1 with a header. The Zwickau fans cheered when Hiemann kept a last shot from Hansch in the 92nd minute. The victory was in dry towels - another highlight in the season for FSV Zwickau!
