DDR charm rediscovered: milk bar in the German Agricultural Museum!

Blankenhain, Deutschland - A piece of history returns! The German Agricultural Museum Schloss Blankenhain has opened its gates for a newly designed attraction. On Friday, the "Raumawäuzungshalle" was reopened, a fascinating relic from the GDR, which was developed in the 1960s. This mobile solution was created to quickly create additional space - perfect for consumption sales offices, kindergartens or restaurants!

The hall now shines in the glamor of the end seventies and has been set up as a milk bar and snack bar that takes visitors into a nostalgic period. The rediscovery of this unique piece of GDR everyday culture is thanks to a happy coincidence: the hall was found only 15 kilometers from Blankenhain and, thanks to generous financial support from Sparkasse Zwickau, restored by the sponsoring association.

a look into the past

The reopening of this hall is not only a festival for nostalgics, but also a significant step towards preserving the GDR culture. Visitors have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the 1970s and experience history up close. This attraction promises to become a highlight for all those interested in history and families who want to take a look at the past.
