In a shocking incident in Licht fir, Zwickau district, a drunk driver (43) lost control of his vehicle and caused a dramatic accident. On Sunday evening around 7 p.m., the man drove his VW Golf on Lengenfelder Straße in the direction of Zwickau when the mischief started. Suddenly he got onto the oncoming lane and crashed head-on against the guardrail before colliding with an oncoming Mitsubishi of a 50-year-old.

The collision was violent! The alcoholized driver and his passenger (43) were seriously injured and had to be taken to the hospital. Fortunately, the driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured. But the consequences of the accident are devastating: a breath alcohol test showed a value of 0.92 per thousand in the Georgian! The police reacted quickly and ensured his driver's license to avoid further dangers.

The two vehicles were no longer ready to drive after the impact and had to be towed. The total damage amounts to around 11,300 euros.
