Telekom ensures lightning -fast network in the Vogtlandkreis!

A top-class mobile phone upgrade! In the district of Vogtlandkreis, Deutsche Telekom has raised mobile phone supply to a new level. In the past two months, not only an LTE location, but also a 5G location has been expanded. This means a massive increase in mobile phone coverage and an improved range for users. The new locations are located in the municipalities of Markneukirchen and Plauen, whereby the location in Markneukirchen is particularly important for the supply along the Saxony-West railway line.

The need grows!

"The need for bandwidth is constantly increasing - around 30 percent per year. That is why we continue to pace in mobile phone expansion," explains Georg von Wagner, company spokesman for Telekom. With currently 114 locations operated in the district and a budget coverage of impressive 99 percent, Telekom is on the best way to further expand the digital infrastructure. A further 39 locations are to be added by 2026, and on 32 existing radio masts, extensions with LTE or 5G are being planned.

Telekom is dependent on cooperation with municipalities and property owners in order to secure the necessary areas for the new locations. With over 36,000 mobile radio locations in the company and around 1,500 new locations annually, Telekom shows that it takes the digital future seriously!
