Wermsdorf: Young nurses secure the future in the specialist hospital!

Wermsdorf, Deutschland - Wermsdorf. A ray of hope for the care industry! Charlotte Biedermann, a 25-year-old prospective nurse, is about to take her final exams in the Hubertusburg specialist hospital. After three intensive years of practical training, full of shift services and dedication, she decided: "I will stay here in the house and in the future work on neurology - that was my desired station!". Their determination reflects the current trend to increase the number of qualified specialists in nursing.

The Hubertusburg specialist hospital, part of the St. Georg Clinic in Leipzig, cheerfully raises the number of apprenticeships to an incredible twelve a year! Under the direction of nursing manager Sabine Wolf, 29 young people are currently in the process of shaping their future in nursing, while other interns from other institutions complete "trial courses", so to speak. "Of course we want to keep the young people in the house," explains Wolf, "so we talk to them about contracts in good time so that they can concentrate on their exams."

The need for nurses rises rapidly! According to a current study, around 130,000 specialists are missing in Germany, and the number will probably increase immeasurably in the coming years, while the number of people and people in need of care increases. "There are enough development opportunities for us!" Restry Charlotte and emphasizes how important support from experienced colleagues is. "This is a great job!" Added her colleague Celine Preiß, who also made her way to the nurse after a voluntary social year.
